"I usually have positive associations with spiders in my dreams. Sometimes they can be frightening but I have a deep respect for them as creatures and they often show themselves in my dreams. Last night I had a brief dream about a tarantula that I felt with extremely significant, I am unsure of how to interpret this and wanted to share in case anyone has any input. Let me describe below:
In this dream I am walking through an unknown house that is very dirty and messy, I don't know why I'm there or what I'm doing. It is night time in the dream and I can tell this because it is very dark outside of the windows.
I look down at myself and see a gigantic brown/orange/black tarantula that is very hairy crawling on me. Normally I enjoy spiders in my dreams but this felt like not a friend to me. I become frightened and then very angry. I grabbed the tarantula and ripped it off of me and threw it on the ground very hard killing it.
As I killed it its hair exploded in a cloud and covered the house and myself. I expected this to cause me pain but it didn't and I remember being confused by this in the dream. I picked up the tarantulas body and felt a great sadness, with no regrets. Like I knew I had to kill it and I felt extreme grief about it.
I held it in my hands and walked out of the house into nothing but darkness. I felt it was wrong to leave it there in the dirty house and I had to take it with me. I felt like I knew the spider somehow but I have no idea why, like it was an old friend turned enemy. I remember crying in the dream as I left, holding the tarantula with both hands gently as I walked down the steps of the front door.
End.
This dream has me very confused as to what it could mean. Any input is appreciated."

What we often think is that once we commit our mind, and the long series of songs and poetry and proverbs that have fed a kind of romantic possessiveness have often led us astray. The verb for "love" is "to have". The verb for "desire" is "to want". And "to want" requires us sometimes to have a little bit of a psychological distance. A sense of otherness. A bridge to cross. Something or someone to visit on the other side. So that in between "me" and "you" lies this tension called "erotic love". And I began to think about this dialectic, this tension, between closeness and space, in terms of love and desire. And the question that I would ask, is, "I am most drawn to my partner when...". Not sexually attracted only, just most drawn to. The first one you're gonna hear is that "I am most drawn to my partner when...He or she radiates". Radiates. That's probably the best word for it.
There's another word for "confidence" but it's confidence with rumination. Because I am looking at this person who is already generally so familiar and is momentarily, once again, somewhat unknown, somewhat mysterious, somewhat elusive, and in this space between Me and Her lies this erotic love. It's a space in which what is generally so known becomes momentarily, once again, somewhat unknown, so that I can explore. And first and foremost, be curious. The essential experience that comes from desire is curiosity.
The second one is "When we've been apart". What happens is that we get to connect with the other dimension of desire which is that is also rooted in longing and in absence. There is something about not having that allows us to want more. Not just because we want what we can't have but because when we don't have it right in front of us, it allows us to engage our imagination about not only what it is but what it means to us or what this person means to us; represents for us; and who we are in their presence.
"When I'm surprised." Because I can be surprised. Because I am drawn to my partner because he is vulnerable and it's not typically what I see or I'm surprised because I see you do something that you don't usually do, or I'm surprised because you come to me with a different tone that you usually do but surprise breeds novelty, change, difference. That too is a ferment of the desire. And when I see my partner in the eyes of the others, when other people are taken by his or her intelligence, their words, their charm, their wit, their humor, their looks; Basically when I experience in the moment that my partner doesn't just exist in my own gaze but also exists in the gaze of others, and they don't belong to you. I don't own them. "Can we want what we already have?" is the best answer. If we accept that we never had the person who is next us; they never belonged to us. They are to be free to go. Of course we can control them, we can lock them up. We can create a system of surveillance but that's not intimacy or closeness.

In a faraway land
One day, when I get out of this terrible situation, I'm going to be a great fashion designer. I would design lightweight and tropically-adapted sustainable wear. I would work with my boyfriend to design different lines of clothing for different job titles. I'll be really excited.
My boyfriend is going to take up Architecture in college and later take up Photography at Benilde...It would be dreamy. I wish for Architects to wear polo shirts with bright piping (like computer-blue and computer-red) and slightly bell-bottomed flat pants. It would be awesome.
As for me, I would like to take up the Bachelor of Design course and specialize in Sustainable Wear. I really love my college.
I'm just waiting for COVID to end, hopefully...

A Lack of Self-Control
Sometimes, young men and women have to live in separate worlds because their love of themselves is too strong. If they see each other way too soon, they could lose themselves in each other and later feel sorry about the fact because they had an attachment to self-love.
I think a life for people like this should include lots of exercise, spirituality, and service to others, as well as caring professions where they love others as their job.
Self-love is good, but there really isn't that much to do in life if you don't spend it serving others.
Society is important. Without other people to depend on, one would keep all their problems to themselves and finally feel the weight of shame. They all need ways to talk about themselves and the social system (just like social services) makes sure that they are heard.
So many people look to certain establishmentarians in order to get a big enough power to have control over themselves. This is a mystery, as those people (establishmentarians) have nothing to do with your own self-control.
Then, why do they feel such a huge weight? I think these people are meant to do hard jobs and lift heavy weights for real and not just have easy jobs.

Willie is happy in life.
It's extremely hard to be Willie. I'm guessing, if for Anita, nothing is ever recompensed, what more for someone who holds everything together in life? Willie decided to become a clown one day and just declare himself "happy" for any reason he may wish. At the same time, Anita is just off in Mary-Feather land acting like a good, straight citizen. For some reason, the only that everyone needs is a universal guide to their goals.
I just thought of this right now:
If I want a certain secularist professor I have to get off my back, and just transfer that person to the other side of the universe, I will have to think of the universe in the terms of the modern bourgeoisie:
Coordinates for a modern overman
Stage of life - top-down position
Levels of love (attractiveness) - left-right position
If I want the professor to transfer to the far right and the far top, I will first position myself on the plane. I am at rock bottom, and I love several "boring" people and some several weird people, so I will just say, I'm in with the outcasts. I'll position my professor: She's in the middle stage of her life and she just loves one person. She's in with a small group of middle-life people, among the good people of the universe. So if she's to transfer to the far top and far right among the good people, I'm supposed to keep out of her way and make magic for the while so that she knows how to love and finally becomes a chef for a living. So, in practice, I'm going to buy assorted cupcakes and assorted tuna meals...
