Ang mga nalaman ni Tami

 Nalaman ko po sa Google Chrome.

At sa Google Office Suite.

Nalaman ko po sa Indeed.com na may educational requirement talaga lahat ng trabaho.

Na-curious ako at tinanong ko po ito:

saan po kaya aabot ang skills, knowledge at qualifications ko.

Marami akong inapplyan na trabaho. 3 po ang pasado: Chungdahm ESL Teaching (Korean), Cloud English Teaching and Training  (Korean), at AffinityX po (Korean indie music po.)

I finally got paid at AffinityX for about 3 months 

(and actually just wanted cash. Kahit magkano na lang po. I just want to eat out daw po...Actually, I just wanted to hold cash in my hands. It made me happy.)

Kaya ang nangyari sa The Internship Movie, YUPI talaga lahat ng main characters.

Ang reaction ko sa The Internship...

...natulala daw ako for some reason. I enjoyed it talaga. I thought it was inspiring. I kind of wanted a creative job later.

the question in my mind was, is my job really creative? did i really follow my dreams?

i don't know about you, but i actually really enjoyed my job and became content.

i even took an art class with my first salary.

something spiralled down the hole in my mind when work ended 3 months later and i finally had the time to ask myself if i would ever know if i'm an artist at all?

the voice of the internet nags me and keeps reminding me if i would ever become an artist?

i seriously lost it and kind of was stunned because i was wrong and did not do the right thing.

I thought I would go to hell for being wrong. And not being right. And eventually, I got called MAYABANG.

kasi, fine arts pa yung pera nila. kawawa na nga sila masyado. why don't they choose a field that actually gives them money? deym, why are they not good at anything at all? hindi magaling sa kahit ano.

Okay wait lang. Around the same year that Ate Shalom showed me The Internship, a psychology professor at Miriam who looks and acts like Ate Shalom (Ms. Anna Cristina Tuason) also showed me the movie Silver Linings Playbook (about a guy with bipolar disorder falling in love.) 

Ms. Anna Cristina later fell in love with my boss at R3ciprocity.

  

I just think about Fairlane and I remember what matters in life.

You think creative ka sa mundo. Except may talented na tao pala.

Kaya akala niyo pala may talented nga sa workplace namin. ang totoo, kung may talented talaga, may ibang category talaga sila sa lahat.

hindi ko nga pinansin masyado yung mga graphic designer sa Affinity. Actually, na-guilty pa ako talaga na hindi nanaman ako nag-aral ng art or graphic design.

nag-isip lang ako nito: ang totoo, bakit nga ako maiinggit sa mga graphic designer kung writer/programmer/designer ka man, pare-parehas lang lahat ng sweldo.

lahat 17500 PHP lamang kada buwan.

Alam ko na may associate na may sariling kotse.

Tinandaan ko lang yung Fairlane. Na maganda talaga ang buhay na naglalakad at nag-cocommute. Masarap naman ang buhay.

Fairlane actually makes me feel good about not being the best or most talented talaga. Nag-effort lang. Pwede na. 

Umuwi na ako. At naubos ang pera ko. Kaya, then I started to feel quite sore. Na, at the end of it all, hindi naman pala "haul" kada linggo ang buhay.

Hindi pala totoo. I did not understand at all the spending habits of many of our role models kung bakit hindi pwede nga na hindi maramihan bumili. They live alone in the vlogs. May sarili pang kotse. Nakita ko sa mundo, na talagang hindi pwede na walang kotse. Kaya hindi pwede na walang pambili ng Starbucks. Hindi nga pwede na hindi ka na babalik. Regular ka kung regular.

Kung may Starbucks pa nga (at dito po lumayo pa ako sa Fairlane.) hindi sapat yung 
Starbucks lang. Kung may Starbucks ka, may UNIQLO ka din. May Lacoste ka pa. Eh may Herschel ka pa. Bahay-school ka na. Eh kakanta ka pa mamaya sa gig mo. Dito lang daw. Sa Rockwell pa daw po.

Ano po daw yon?

Kung lahat talagang mataas ang grades na nga, eh mataas pa ang pinag-aralan, eh mamaya law school student pa siya...eh may kotse at driver pa siya...ano po yon?

Hindi kayo magaling nga sa kahit ano. So, why are you happy sitting here alone?

Don't you know that there's no boss that isn't your own age talaga?

Papa wanted to know if bosses act like this:

Wait lang.

Tami: this is my experience. You don't know how to understand AffinityX Mission Vision because the boss doesn't say where he lives. The boss tells you what he wears. There's too few loyal employees that there are also too many employees that are employed and disrespect the company all at the same time. 

You don't know. Because the boss also caves in to everyone else.

You enter. Everybody just puts on different clothes. Everybody is in on the latest vices. Everyone wants to try it out. They slowly try out everything. Bosses join in and try out everything also. They do not leave. They all cave in.

No signs of improvement.

No signs of change.

If you stand up for something, you better do it upon first impression.

It all leads to divorce anxiety.

Everything goes back to the beginning. And they forever cannot figure out if they are attractive.

Worst offender is clear skin.

Some people actually have clear skin.

Go figure.

Clear skin is way too offensive sa inyo, but it means they have a love life na nga.

Ms OJ ang dealbreaker sa sarili niyo. She just has to win. And the whole game ends.

Maaawa ka ba?

Romance na yung anak. Romance na yung kaibigan.
