Who was your favorite teacher?

My favorite all-time subject was Basic Chinese (Mandarin) and my favorite teacher was Xu Laoshi (徐有貞老师) of the Ateneo Confucius Institute. It's really great to discover your favorite subject because it's like something you gobble up with much gratefulness. Finding your favorite subject is like a life-saver too as it kind of excuses you (with school) to be yourself. If life is meant for studying, then a favorite subject is the spice of life. It keeps you from going about life aimlessly.

I feel like I might have felt "offended" by the Chinese way of teaching at first but it's truly helpful in life to always start at the beginning while accepting everything your teacher says about the subject. It's truly the best for simple people. Being grateful for the Chinese teaching style, I experience being transformed and made up by the Chinese program. I think it really turns you into a real person with a real personality. And I think that's what school is all about.

P.S., I was also very encouraged by the Catholic school to become a teacher as well.
